GULY, JIESTAR, EiKee and CBOX are four building set brands from China that are popular with adult builders. GULY is known for large technical supercars and motorcycles, JIESTAR for modular buildings and trains, EiKee for Le Mans race cars and brick-built engines, and CBOX for large display cars. Several of them are connected through JIESTAR, which makes sets for its own brand and parts for others.
How do GULY, JIESTAR, EiKee and CBOX compare?
| Brand | Best known for | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| GULY | Technical supercars, motorcycles, mechs and spacecraft | Builders who want big, detailed vehicles with working features |
| JIESTAR | Modular buildings, city scenes, trains and cars | Street and city builders, train fans |
| EiKee | Le Mans race cars, hypercars and engines | Motorsport fans and engine builders |
| CBOX | Large display cars and fantasy buildings | Collectors who want a showpiece car |
All four are among the brands we cover in our guide to building brands beyond LEGO. For a wider look at the market, see LEGO and beyond: the world of building brands.
How are these brands connected?
JIESTAR is the brand name of Guangdong Jiexing Toys Industrial Co., Ltd., a toy maker founded in 1998 in Chenghai, Shantou. Besides its own JIESTAR sets, the company runs several other brands, including GULY, and also makes products for other companies.
That manufacturing role reaches further. Set databases list JIESTAR as the maker of the bricks in EiKee sets, and in sets from other brands too. So while each brand has its own designs and style, some share the same parts supply behind the scenes.
Who is GULY?
GULY is a brand aimed at adult collectors, best known for large technical vehicles. Its range includes supercars and hypercars at scales like 1:8, 1:10 and 1:14, along with motorcycles, off-roaders, battle mechs, spacecraft and arcade-style display pieces.
Many GULY vehicles include working features like steering, suspension and detailed engine bays, and the brand says some models offer motorized functions or remote-control upgrades. Its cars use their own original names rather than real model names.

Are these brands compatible with each other and with other brands?
All four brands follow the standard stud-and-tube system and Technic-style pins and axles used by most major brands, so their bricks and parts generally connect. Grip and color can still vary slightly from brand to brand. Our building brick compatibility guide covers what works across brands, part by part.
Electronics are different. If a GULY model includes motors or a remote-control upgrade, it's designed for its own power system and won't plug into another brand's. Our guide to motor and power system compatibility explains why.
Which brand should you choose?
| If you want… | Look at |
|---|---|
| A large technical supercar with working features | GULY |
| A motorcycle or a battle mech | GULY |
| A modular building or street scene | JIESTAR |
| A train or locomotive | JIESTAR |
| A Le Mans race car or a brick-built engine | EiKee |
| A big display car for the shelf | CBOX or GULY |
Before buying any large car, check the scale and finished size, since a 1:8 model can be well over half a meter long. Our guide to understanding scale helps you compare, and our guide to static, motorized and RC sets explains the difference between display and moving models.
